The monthly meeting of Watertown Citizens for Peace, Justice and the Environment

The Peace and Common Security working group will present, “Ukraine and the Growing Danger of
Nuclear War” at the July Monthly Meeting.  The Program will feature Dr. Ira Helfand, Past President
of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War and a member of the Steering
Committee of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. The war in Ukraine has raised the possibility of the use of battlefield nuclear weapons and the unthinkable exchange of nuclear weapons between the U.S. and Russia. Dr. Helfand will discuss the risks the world is facing.
