Sweep the Court – Rally to Protect the Un-Housed – at the Robert T. Matsui US Court House, 501 I St.

April 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

On April 22, 2024 the US Supreme Court will decide if a Grants Pass, Oregon law banning camping is “cruel and unusual”, violating the 8th Amendment. Join our day of action in 14 cities across the US to let the court know that sleeping is a human right!

The Johnson v. Grants Pass case threatens to weaken the already weak protections our unhoused neighbors have across the US and especially the 9th Circuit where Martin v Boise currently applies.

On the 22nd, we are holding a Day of Action along with cities across the country! We will rally at the Robert T. Matsui US Court House, 501 I St. and hear from local community leaders about the state of homelessness and the importance of this case.

Please join us!

Attached is a fact sheet related to the Grants Pass case and a flyer for the Day of Action, please feel free to share widely!
