Woodland for Peace (W4P)- new member orientation

Add event to your Google calendarCome join a local group called Woodland for Peace (W4P) for their new member orientation event at the American Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 12:00 - 1:00pm at 1114 College St, Woodland, CA 95695.
W4P is a Woodland-based group of both religious and non-religious individuals. They are a peace and human rights group dedicated to Palestinian Justice and resisting fascism, imperialism, and the US war machine. W4P is currently concerned with the fate of the Palestinian people within Israel, the West Bank, the Golan Heights, Gaza, and the diaspora. Nevertheless, the group also explores imperialism, colonization, and the negative impacts of extreme militarization beyond just Palestine.
Our Group’s Activities include:
Monthly in-person discussion groups based on readings. This includes our next book group meeting on June 13th from 12-1:30pm at the American Lutheran Church. We will be discussing the book The Palestine Laboratory: How Israel Exports the Technology of Occupation Around the World by Antony Loewenstein. You don’t have to read the full book to attend!
Fundraising to help refugees and children in war zones, such as UNICEF, the Middle East Children’s Fund (MECA), and the Sudanese American Physicians Association (SAPA).
Public education film screenings, including a potential future screening at another Woodland church.
During the orientation, we will discuss who we are as a group, how we got started, and how you can help or be part of our team. As part of World Refugee Day, we will also discuss ideas for a future event to raise funds for refugees after the orientation. We would love to hear your ideas!

The Israel-U.S. genocide in Gaza is not just the work of governments. It is also fueled by corporations that profit from death and destruction. For years, our calls to officials have been met with silence, deflection, or outright lies, all while corporations that fund and supply the war machine continue to operate in silence.
That is where we come in.
For thirty minutes, we will engage in collective action to demand accountability from the companies involved. These companies rely heavily on public perception and a smooth workday to maximize their profits.
We will begin with a brief orientation to the purpose of our calls, a review of the call script, and clear instructions on whom to contact and how to do so. Through constant action, we can disrupt their silence.
