I am Gitmo: Film and Discussion

I AM GITMO – a narrative feature film about a Muslim school teacher who is accused of involvement in 9/11 and transported to Guantanamo Bay. Based on true events, although not the story of a specific prisoner, the film is unrated with graphic scenes of realistic torture.

 GUANTANAMO DIARY REVISITED – 7:00-8:30 PST Sneak Preview of the documentary, “Guantanamo Diary Revisited” + discussion!

Synopsis: Following his best-selling book, “Guantanamo Diary”, which describes his decade of imprisonment and torture at Guantanamo Bay, Mohamedou Ould Slahi sets out to find his torturers

The documentary was featured on Ira Glass’ “This American Life” radio program (under the title In Search of Monsters) and has been acquired by Cinema Libre Studio for North American distribution in March 2022.

A discussion about the film will follow with John Goetz and Mohamedou Ould Slahi.
